Recently, WFCO Technologies staff sat down with the RV Technical Institute to share their experience teaching the Level 3 curriculum to interested service technicians. Hear from WFCO Technologies’ team below.
How do WFCO Technologies’ Level 3 Courses benefit RV technicians?
As RV electrical systems grow in complexity, WFCO firmly believes that RV technicians should have both broad-based and refined technical training resources available to them. Our Level 3 training course provides the in-depth knowledge and testing procedures of the industry leading WFCO converter product line to navigate troubleshooting efficiently, providing more effective RV service. Technicians that commit to Level 3 certification are doing the work necessary for growth and development, which will ultimately lead to their individual success and improving service across the industry.
What do your students have to say about the Level 3 courses you offer?
We have received positive feedback on our Level 3 converter training course. Technicians appreciate making direct contact with WFCO technicians, and because the information is presented in an easily digestible format, they come away from the course with a better understanding of the product, technology, and of WFCO as a company. There is an appreciation for gaining factual knowledge rather than relying on anecdotal information heard from other sources. Through these courses, technicians are gaining knowledge and developing the confidence to efficiently troubleshoot customer issues.
How has offering Level 3 been impactful for your organization?
Gaining approval for our Level 3 training program has been a key step for our growth at WFCO. Our continuing education training has been a popular course for technicians and the Level 3 course helps us to provide more depth and resources for technicians to use not only on WFCO products, but throughout the entire electrical system of the RV. The addition of the Level 3 training program helps us move forward with our goal of training and educating as many RV technicians as possible.
The RV Technical Institute regularly adds new, approved Level 3 courses to its curriculum. Interested suppliers can become an accredited training provider by downloading and submitting an application for review and approval by the Curriculum Committee.
